Timetable:

‘Come n Try’ Cyclocross (register on the day)

9.15am children U13 10 minutes (any bike with brakes)*
9.25am  ‘All comers’ 20 minutes plus 1 lap (any bike with brakes)*

Open Graded (enter online or on the day)

10.30am Support/Women/Junior U17 & U15
(B Grade Men and A/B Women)
30 minutes plus 1 lap (CX, road or mtb)
11.15am Open
(A Grade)
45 minutes plus 2 laps (CX & road bikes only)


Presentations:

9.50am – ‘Come n Try’ Cyclocross
12.30pm – Open , Support, Women,Junior U17 and U15

How to register?:

  • Register for ‘Come n Try’ on the day
  • Online entries open to people participating in the Open Graded category, Online entries close midnight Thursday the 26th of June

  • 3 ride licence (extended to cover the duration of the series) – $44 (amount subtracted from full licence upgrade)

Grading

New comers will be graded based on their first race result.

Licence holders can race in either

  • Open or Support/Women or
  • Juniors (U15-17)

Please note equipment requirements for graded riders.

Equipment

  • Helmet, in good order that meets Australian standards.
  • Bike with brakes & in good order.
  • A CX or road bike is required to race Open.
  • MTB’s permitted in all other categories.

Race Day information:

  • course open for pre-ride 8.40 – 9.00am
  • course maps available at registration
  • Ride numbers collected at registration.

Series details:

5 race series, best 3 races count towards series result. Points allocated for each race (details of points system on website). Final race at Tour de Valley – double points.

Points – Individual & team races

1st: 11, 2nd 10, 3rd 9, 4th 8, 5th 7, 6th 6, 7th 5, 8th 4, 9th 3, 10th 2, (all other finishers 1 point)

Double points awarded for Tour de Valley.

  • Riders who compete in and finish all 5 events receive 5 extra bonus points
  • Teams points will be allocated ‘evenly’ between individuals.
